Pygmy Killer Whale

"Pygmy killer whale is an aggressive dolphin."

Pygmy Killer Whale Head (Feresa Attenuata), Hawaii, USA
Poster by AllPosters.com.

It is so named because of some similarities to killer whales, however the two are not closely related.

It is medium-sized, dark grey, and it has a round head and a robust body.

It can be very aggressive and kill others of its own species in captivity.

In the wild, it is known to sometimes kill other dolphins, however it mostly eats fish.

It does have some surfacing displays, but not much. It lives in groups and it is found in all oceans except those in polar regions.
