Harbor Porpoise


Harbor Porpoise is a small dolphin.

Its Latin name is Phocoena phocoena, and it likes to live in shallow waters in coastal areas.

It grows almost two meters long and weighs up to 75kg.

It is grey and its dorsal fin, flippers and tail are darker than the rest of its body.

It eats small fish and is eaten by killer whales and sharks.

As its name says, it often comes to harbours and even travels quite far up to rivers.

It is found in coastal areas in northern Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It is not an endangered species.
