Finless Porpoises Inhabit the Asiatic Coastal Waters
Poster by AllPosters.com.

It is a small grey porpoise, about 1.5 meters long and weighs only about 40kg.

As the name says, it has got no dorsal fin.

They are active swimmers but they don't put on much of a surface display.

They are found in coastal areas in Asia as well as in Chang (Yangtze) River.

They like shallow waters and they eat squid, shrimp, fish, octopuses and other small animals.

They are protected and not hunted but their numbers are still believed to be on decline.

The threats they face are habitat loss and accidental trapping in fishing nets
