Australia Whale Watching
"So
what is Australia whale
watching like..."
There are two main areas for two different types of whales: along the southern coast of Australia you can watch southern right whales, and along the eastern and western coasts you can watch Humpback whales.
The best time for both is late winter to spring (roughly June to October).
Some of the most popular places are Hervey Bay and North Stradbroke Island in Queensland; Cape Byron and Cape Howe in New South Wales, Warrnambool and Wilsons Promontory in Victoria; Storm Bay and Freycinet National Park in Tasmania; Head of Bight, Coffin Bay and Portland in South Australia; and Broome, Shark Bay and Cape Leeuwin in Western Australia.
